Explain, for a new developer, why an append-only ledger resists tampering.
This work was found published, with no prompt attached. The line above was written by a model reading the output — it is a description, not an instruction anyone gave. Nothing in the seal, the timestamp or the Bitcoin anchor depends on it.

Picture a stack of sealed envelopes where each envelope contains a summary of the one below it. To forge the third envelope from the bottom, you would have to reseal it, which changes its summary, which means the fourth envelope now points to the wrong thing, and so on all the way to the top. An append-only ledger works the same way: every entry stores a fingerprint of the previous entry, so editing any single record silently breaks the chain above it. Add a database engine that refuses UPDATE and DELETE outright, and an external timestamp that fixes each entry in time, and tampering stops being risky and starts being mathematically obvious.

Anyone can put a certificate on trial. Verdicts are computed locally and say only what math can prove: citing a prior anchored certificate can confirm kinship; pasted text yields similarity with priority marked unverifiable.
Download the sealed record and the .ots file into one folder and run ots verify deusproof-983e3071-afac-4c63-b22d-00505de854df.ots (or drop both at opentimestamps.org). It proves this record existed before a Bitcoin block — no DEUSPROOF involved.
The sealed record is f1ce556df68b79384c78b6dc7503cfc6f653d7886c8d7788acc93a265a9dea33:d6db1315bb7f621c6b29d1d89be1d003597ba35c2cd3e3c02e3f5a7532251bee:983e3071-afac-4c63-b22d-00505de854df — its middle part is the SHA-256 of the content.
